You are a new Salesforce administrator, in charge of making Salesforce work correctly for your organization
You are curious about how to extend and customize Salesforce
What you’ll learn
What your user experience configuration options are, and when to use each: page layouts, Lightning Page layouts, Apps, Lightning Apps, Quick Actions, Global Actions, and Dynamic Forms
Where to find your active users, how to understand licenses, and how to add and remove users
How to manage profiles, and an overview of other permissions considerations (roles and sharing rules)
How to change the order and sequencing of fields on an object’s edit / view page
The difference between list views and reports, and how to manage list views for your users
How to think about Apps in Salesforce, and where to manage them
Common integrations and basic package management from the AppExchange
What to expect from this course
Each course is 90 minutes, online, taught by an experienced Salesforce consultant who has hands-on experience managing Salesforce for nonprofits across many organizations
You will receive a Zoom link prior to the course you’re registered for
Anyone new to Salesforce can take this course - whether you’re using the NPSP or not.
If you have not taken Part 1 and are not familiar with the Setup navigation, we recommend you take Part 1 first or you may feel a little lost in this course.
This is a very hands-on course. You will be working in a sandbox version of your real Salesforce. You will be sent instructions prior to the course in setting up a sandbox.
Ideally you will come into this course with real changes you need to make and can make them during the course while getting support. We will provide an example of a common use cases for everything we cover.
